Adding Battery Backup to an Existing Solar System

Adding Battery Backup to an Existing Solar System image

A lot of homeowners already have solar panels up and running - but no battery storage to go with it. That means when the grid goes down, the lights still go out. Adding battery backup to an existing solar setup changes that entirely.

This is a Renon Xtreme Series battery installation we completed for a customer who wanted to get more out of their existing solar system. The Renon Xtreme Series is a stacked modular battery - each module adds capacity, and the whole unit is built to handle real-world demands. It sits on a dedicated concrete pad, which is the right way to do it. Clean, stable, and properly supported.

Here's the thing about retrofitting batteries onto an existing system - it's not just a plug-and-play situation. The existing solar setup has to be evaluated, the wiring has to be done correctly, and the battery needs to be commissioned and tested before it's actually doing its job. We go through every step of that process. No shortcuts.

Every connection matters when you're dealing with stored energy at this scale. From the conduit runs to the final system test, the goal is a setup that works the way it's supposed to - day one and years down the road. That's what we're focused on every time we take on a job like this.

Whether you already have solar and want to add storage, or you're starting from scratch, getting the battery side of the equation right is what makes the whole system worth it. We know this equipment, and we know how to integrate it properly.
